John Deere prices in Australia, and how the finance really works

Ventas Asset Lending  |  23 August 2026

John Deere pricing in Australia is half published, half quote-only. The mowers have a public price list; the tractors are dealer-quote with a paper trail. Here is both halves, plus the part the brochures skip: how the finance campaigns actually work.

Zero-turn mowers: the published list

SeriesRRP (inc GST)Financed, per week
Z300 residential$7,940 to $9,349$40 to $45
Z500$12,099 to $16,199$60 to $80
Z700$17,299 to $21,149$85 to $105

Tractors: the working bands

New tractor RRPs are quote-only, but the market leaves a paper trail. The last complete published Australian list (2022) plus current listings give honest planning bands: 1 Series sub-compacts from around $20,000 bare with loaders adding $5,000 plus; 3 and 4 Series compacts $32,000 to $58,000 and up with packages; 5 Series utility tractors $80,000 to $130,000 in current near-new listings; 6 Series $175,000 to $370,000; 7 Series to $425,000; and 8 Series around $600,000 new. Treat the lower figures as floors; current quotes land above them.

What used Deere holds

Deere holds resale unusually well in Australia. From current listings: machines under 3 years hold roughly 75 to 90% of new, 3 to 6 years 55 to 75%, 6 to 10 years 40 to 55%, and 10 plus years 20 to 40%. Hours matter more than age on the big frames, and a front-end loader or GPS kit carries real value through resale.

The 0% campaigns, read properly

Deere runs rotating 0% to 1.99% campaigns on ag tractors. The standard shape: 30% deposit, 36 to 48 month term, in-stock units only, commercial applicants. That is a genuine discount if the term suits you, but the deposit and short term push the repayment high, and the campaign never covers the used or private-sale machine you actually found. Broker finance runs to seven year terms with balloon options on any machine, any seller. Property-backed borrowers generally price around 6% to 9% p.a. and non-property-backed deals around 9% to 13%, with approvals commonly back in 24 to 48 hours. Price both against the same machine on the tractor finance calculator, or see tractor finance.
