The asset pays its way
Energy equipment that works against its own repayments
A solar system is one of the few assets that starts cutting a bill from the day it is switched on. For many businesses the drop in power costs covers a meaningful share of the monthly repayment, so the upgrade carries part of its own weight.
As a brokerage we are not tied to one bank, so we take your deal across a panel of 40+ lenders and find the structure that fits, while your cash stays in the business instead of on the roof.
What you can use it for
Put the facility to work however your business needs it.
Rooftop commercial solar
Panel systems for warehouses, factories, offices and retail sites, sized to the load the building actually runs.
Battery storage
Batteries that bank daytime generation so you can draw on it after dark or through peak-rate periods instead of buying from the grid.
EV chargers
Charging bays for delivery fleets, staff vehicles and customers, financed as business equipment rather than paid from working cash.
Energy-efficiency upgrades
LED lighting, heat pumps and other efficiency work that cuts a site's running costs, often bundled into the same facility as the solar.
Farms and rural operations
Solar for pumps, sheds, irrigation and cool rooms, where grid power is expensive or a long way from the work.
High-usage premises
Gyms, clinics and hospitality venues running equipment all day, where daytime generation lines up neatly with daytime use.
Why businesses choose Ventas
The asset offsets its own cost
From the first bill after installation, the power you generate is power you are not buying. That saving lands every month, right alongside the repayment, which is a position very few financed assets can claim.
One application, 40+ lenders
You apply once and we take it to the lenders most likely to fund energy equipment at a sharp rate. Getting a quote has no impact on your credit score.
Low-doc, no upfront fees
Many deals settle without full financials for established ABNs. Our broking fee is paid by the lender at settlement, so comparing your options costs nothing.
Got an installer's quote? Send it over
If you already have a proposal for a solar system, battery or charger install, send us the details and we will quote the finance across the panel. Most approvals come back in 24 to 48 hours, so you can lock in your install date without waiting on a bank.

How to check an installer's savings model
Every commercial solar proposal contains a savings figure, and the figure is only as good as the assumptions under it. The first one to check is consumption profile: a system pays best when generation lines up with when you actually use power, so a business that runs through the day captures far more of it than one that runs at night, even with an identical roof and an identical system.
The second is what the model assumes about exported power. Energy you use on site displaces what you would have bought at retail rates, while energy you export earns a feed-in tariff that is typically much lower. A proposal that values all generation the same way will overstate the return. Ask what proportion the model assumes you will self-consume, and whether that matches your own load.
The third is what the quoted price actually includes, because that is the figure the finance is written against. Switchboard upgrades, grid connection approval, non-standard roof access and metering changes are all common additions that surface after a proposal is accepted, and a system financed at the headline number leaves you covering the rest out of working capital.
We are the finance side of this, not the installer, so we have no stake in which system you choose or which company installs it. Once you have a quote you trust, put the total in the form above and we will come back with the repayment. See also finance by asset type.

Common questions
Solar & Energy Equipment Finance, explained
How much can I borrow for solar or energy equipment?
We arrange solar and energy equipment finance up to $500,000. The amount you qualify for depends on the system, your time in business and the lender, and we match your deal to the lenders on our panel most likely to fund it at a competitive rate.
Do the power bill savings really cover the repayments?
Often part of them, and in some cases a large part. It depends on your system size, your daytime usage and what you currently pay for power, so your installer should model the expected savings for your site. We will structure the finance so the repayment sits sensibly against that picture. Be wary of anyone quoting exact savings before the system is designed.
Can I finance the battery and EV chargers as well as the panels?
Yes. Lenders on our panel fund complete energy packages, so panels, inverters, batteries and chargers can sit under the one facility. If it is part of the same install, it usually belongs in the same deal.
Do I need to provide financials?
Often not. We have low-doc and no-doc options, and for established ABNs with a clean credit history many deals settle without full financials. We will tell you what a particular lender needs before you commit to anything.
Is solar equipment finance tax deductible?
Business equipment finance can carry tax benefits around deductions and depreciation, but the right treatment depends on your structure and circumstances. Talk to your accountant before you commit. We arrange the finance and leave the tax position to the person qualified to confirm it.
Are there any upfront fees, and will a quote affect my credit score?
No on both counts. Getting a quote has no impact on your credit score, and there is nothing to pay to compare your options. Our broking fee is paid by the lender at settlement, not by you.
