What an Iveco truck costs in Australia

Ventas Asset Lending  |  Reviewed by Caleb Morehu  |  Updated 5 November 2026

New Iveco Daily cab chassis are listed from $68,900 inc GST, and CarExpert reports the Tradie Made 50C from $77,929 before on-road costs. New Eurocargo cab chassis ask $149,800 to $180,490, and new S-Way prime movers $219,800 to $257,500. Used heavy trucks start near $29,990. Weight class, body and kilometres drive the spread.

Iveco does not publish a price list for most of its range, so the price you pay depends on the weight class, the body, the engine and the kilometres on the dash. A new Daily tray can cost under $70,000 inc GST while a 2026 S-Way curtainsider asks $257,500, and a 2013 Powerstar prime mover asks $29,990. This guide sets out what 12 live listings across Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia ask, what moves the price, how Iveco sits against Isuzu and Hino, what to check on a used truck, and how an Iveco purchase is typically funded.

What Iveco trucks cost in Australia

Iveco sells four ranges here: the Daily van and cab chassis, the Eurocargo medium rigid, the S-Way on-highway heavy and the X-Way and T-Way for off-highway work. The table lists 12 Iveco trucks opened on Truck Dealers Australia on 4 November 2026, across Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia. Prices are on the seller's GST basis and a new truck shows delivery kilometres. They are asking prices, indicative market data and not Ventas offers.

Three things stand out. A cab chassis is not a working truck. The $149,800 Eurocargo ML160 has no body fitted, and the $213,495 Eurocargo with a high-cube pantech is the same 16,000 kg class, so a body plus dealer margin is worth tens of thousands (our arithmetic, $63,695 between the two). Age and kilometres take a heavy truck down fast. A 2024 S-Way prime mover asks $219,800 inc GST while a 2013 Powerstar with 502,999 km asks $29,990 inc GST and a 2010 Stralis with 526,000 km asks $45,000 ex GST, about $49,500 inc GST (our arithmetic). Listings contradict themselves. The Beresfield Daily shows a GVM of 7,000 kg in its details and 7,200 kg in its description, and the Eurocargo tipper shows 280 hp in its description and 207 hp in its details. Ask the dealer for the compliance plate before you rely on any figure. Queensland is not in this table because no Iveco listing there was priced and verifiable that day.

What Iveco publishes, and what it does not

Iveco Australia does not publish a price list for the Eurocargo, S-Way or X-Way, so the table above is the market, not a brochure. The Daily is the exception, because motoring media publishes it. CarExpert's August 2026 review says the Daily is priced from around $70,000 and tops out above $100,000 before on-road costs. It puts the factory-tray Tradie Made on the 50C chassis at $77,929 before on-road costs, and Tradie Made 45C trucks at $62,999 before on-road costs during a plate-clearance sale. CarExpert's model page gives the Daily a GVM range of 4,250 to 7,200 kg, a 3.0 litre turbo-diesel at 132 kW or 155 kW, and an eight-speed ZF automatic.

Two cautions. Those prices exclude on-road costs, while some dealer advertisements are drive away, so the $68,900 Laverton North listing and a $77,929 plus on-roads quote are not directly comparable. And the model page itself shows no price for the base or Tradie Made variants, so treat any single Daily figure as a guide and get a written quote.

What moves an Iveco price

Weight rating, body, engine, transmission and kilometres explain most of the spread. The rows below compare listings from the table, and each gap is our arithmetic on asking prices, not a like-for-like quote.

What changesExample from the tableWhat it does to the price
Daily weight ratingLaverton North 4,495 kg tray $68,900 inc GST. Beresfield 70C21 at 7,000 to 7,200 kg $84,990 inc GSTMoving up a weight class adds about $16,000 on the sticker (our arithmetic), before a body
Cab and engineEurocargo ML160 at 280 hp $149,800 inc GST. Eurocargo at 320 hp $180,490 inc GSTThe two are different listings, so the gap also reflects dealer and spec (our arithmetic, $30,690)
BodyML160 cab chassis $149,800 inc GST. Eurocargo high-cube pantech $213,495 inc GSTA fitted body is a large part of the gap. The listings do not break the body out
Kilometres and ageDaily new $68,900 inc GST, 2022 Daily with 128,464 km $52,990 inc GSTSame 4,495 kg class, about $15,900 lower at about 128,000 km (our arithmetic)
Rigid or prime moverS-Way prime mover 2024 $219,800 inc GST, 2013 Powerstar $29,990 inc GSTA decade of age and 500,000 km take about 86 per cent off the new price (our arithmetic)

Warranty also matters on a new Daily. Iveco has doubled the light commercial warranty from three to six years, with a 250,000 km cap, and CarExpert reports owners can extend the distance to 600,000 km for an extra cost. Service intervals are every 24 months or 50,000 km.

Iveco against Isuzu and Hino

Iveco is a smaller player. Truck and Bus News reported 1,379 Iveco trucks registered in 2025, sixth overall, with 880 Daily-based light chassis at a 6.4 per cent light-duty share. Isuzu registered 12,420, a 27.5 per cent market share. Iveco's volume was about 11 per cent of Isuzu's (our arithmetic). Our Isuzu truck prices guide and Hino truck prices guide list the rivals in detail. The comparison below uses listings from those guides, opened on 22 October 2026, so the dates differ and the specs are not identical.

ClassIveco listingComparable listing in our sibling guides

Heavy rigid or tipperT-Way 8x4 side tipper, used, $359,990 inc GSTHino 700 Series FY 3036 8x4 tipper, new, $305,000 inc GST

On sticker price the Daily sits alongside the Isuzu N Series and Hino 300, while the Eurocargo comes in below the Isuzu FVR example because it is an unbodied chassis against a bodied tray. Compare a body-for-body quote, not two listings. For heavy rigids and tippers see our tipper truck cost guide, and for the S-Way against other prime movers see the prime mover prices guide.

Buying a used Iveco

The used market is thinner than for Isuzu or Hino, so a valuer has fewer comparable sales and prices are less standard. That is our view from the volumes above, not a published lender policy. In February 2026 Iveco's head of business operations told CarExpert that customer recommendation scores had been low three years earlier and had risen about 20 per cent since, and that downtime hurts customers. Treat that as the company's own account.

Before you buy a used Iveco, check the service history, the PPSR for existing security, the compliance plate against the advertised GVM, and the dealer's workshop and parts access near your routes. A 500,000 km prime mover at $29,990 is cheap to buy and can still be expensive to run.

Financing an Iveco truck

Most Iveco purchases are funded as equipment finance, usually a chattel mortgage where the truck is the security. Lenders price the truck on what it would resell for, its age at the end of the term and the strength of the borrower. Ventas is a finance broker, not a lender, so we do not quote rates. They move with the lender, the truck and the file.

Be realistic about appetite. A new Daily or Eurocargo from a dealer is a standard asset and lenders generally write it. An older heavy truck, a one-off body or a private sale is harder: expect age limits at the end of the term, a shorter term or a deposit. With fewer Iveco trucks on the road than Isuzu, a valuer can be cautious on high-kilometre examples.

Illustrative only, subject to lender assessment. A new Eurocargo ML160 with a body:

ItemAmount
Eurocargo ML160 cab chassis (listing price, inc GST)$149,800
Tray or pantech body, fitted$30,000
Registration, CTP, first insurance premium and delivery$8,000
Total cash needed$187,800

And how it is typically funded:

Funding layerAmountWhat it coversSecured on
Equipment finance (chattel mortgage)$150,000Most of the truck and bodyThe truck itself, registered on the PPSR
Your funds or a trade-in$27,800Deposit and on-road costsCash, or the equity in the truck you trade
Property-backed loan$10,000Gap on the body and costs, if you prefer not to use cashYour home or other property
Total$187,800

Debt here is 80 per cent of the total. The listing price includes GST, and whether your business claims the GST credit, and how it treats depreciation or an instant asset write-off, is a question for your accountant.

What makes an Iveco deal fundable: an ABN and trading history, a clean credit file, a deposit or property behind you, a dealer or supplier invoice, and a truck whose age plus the loan term fits the lender's cap. For older trucks read how to finance a second-hand truck. Send us the model, the year and kilometres, whether it is new or used, and the body, and we will come back with a structure. See truck finance for the process. Finance is subject to lender assessment and approval.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a new Iveco Daily cost in Australia?

Listings show new Daily cab chassis from $68,900 inc GST to $84,990 inc GST. CarExpert reports the Daily priced from around $70,000 to over $100,000 before on-road costs, and the Tradie Made 50C from $77,929 before on-roads. Dealer prices vary with weight class, body and on-road costs.

How much is an Iveco Eurocargo?

New Eurocargo cab chassis in this guide ask $149,800 to $180,490 inc GST, and bodied examples $199,098 for a tipper to $213,495 for a high-cube pantech. A cab chassis has no body, so a working truck costs materially more. Iveco does not publish a Eurocargo price list.

How much is an Iveco S-Way prime mover?

New S-Way listings ask $219,800 inc GST for a 2024 460 hp medium roof prime mover and $257,500 inc GST for a 2026 14-pallet curtainsider. Used older Iveco prime movers, such as a 2013 Powerstar, ask $29,990 inc GST at about 503,000 km.

Are used Iveco trucks cheaper than Isuzu or Hino?

Often the asking price is lower for the same age and kilometres, but the used market is smaller, so there is less sales evidence to price against. Iveco registered 1,379 trucks in 2025 against Isuzu's 12,420. Compare a body-for-body quote and check parts and workshop access.

Can I finance an Iveco truck?

Yes, usually through a chattel mortgage secured on the truck. New dealer stock is the easiest. Older, high-kilometre or specialised trucks face age limits, shorter terms or a deposit. Approval depends on trading history, credit, the truck and the lender's assessment.
